Dr. Upasana Mukherjee is a dedicated researcher with a deep commitment to enhancing community health, particularly among underserved populations.  She holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from Texas Tech University, where her doctoral research focused on the impact of soy nutrition education on elderly women in rural Zambia.  Her work has consistently emphasized the importance of community-based interventions to mitigate and prevent chronic metabolic and cognitive diseases.

Currently, Dr. Mukherjee is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯, where she investigates the relationship between lifestyle factors and brain health in aging populations.  Her research aims to develop sustainable community health interventions that can prevent or delay the onset of cognitive decline, including mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease

Dr. Mukherjee's research interests are rooted in the belief that preventive health measures can significantly improve quality of life and reduce healthcare costs.  She is particularly passionate about translating academic research into practical, community-based solutions.  Her future research goals include developing culturally appropriate, evidence-based lifestyle interventions that address the unique needs of both elderly populations and school-aged children.  Through her work, she seeks to foster a healthier future generation by instilling good dietary habits and lifestyle choices early in life, ultimately contributing to the well-being of society at large.
