Amarillo Medical Students Celebrate at Match Day

Fifty-four graduating students from the School of Medicine in Amarillo participated in the 34th annual National Residency Matching Program, also known as Match Day, on March 16 at the Amarillo Country Club.


Pharmacy Students Find Residency Matches

On March 20, fourth-year pharmacy students interested in completing a residency after graduation found out where they would spend the next 1-2 years of their training at Phase I of Residency Match Day.


New Treatment Described at Lunch & Learn Program

Tim Bowles, senior administrator for the Department of Psychiatry in Amarillo, was the featured speaker at the first in a three-part Lunch & Learn series hosted by the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women鈥檚 Health.


Pharmacy Faculty Earn Promotions

At its March 2 meeting, the Texas Tech University System Board of Reagents approved the promotion of four School of Pharmacy faculty members and the promotion and tenure of another.


REMEDY Program Collects Items for Those in Need

As part of the REMEDY (Recovered Medical Equipment for the Developing World) program, 香蕉直播 students from the School of Medicine in Amarillo collected unused medical equipment from our area to send to communities in need across the globe.


Grad Student Earns Travel Award

The American Society of Microbiology (ASM) recently selected Anwar Hossain, a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Pharmacy鈥檚 Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, to receive the ASM Student and Postdoctoral Travel Award AAR to attend ASM Microbe 2018.


Medical Students Honored at VA Ceremony

The Amarillo VA Healthcare System recognized four medical students from the 香蕉直播 campus in Amarillo March 30 as part of Women鈥檚 History Month. The students were honored with an 鈥淚 Care鈥 pin to wear on their white coats from the Department of Veterans Affairs.


Cancer Screening Information Fair to Take Place April 14

Texas Tech Physicians is hosting a cost-free cancer screening information fair for the general public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 14 at SimCentral. This event is also free to all 香蕉直播 staff, students and faculty.


Casino Night Raises Money for St. Jude

More than 140 students, faculty and alumni from the School of Pharmacy came out to the Amarillo Botanical Gardens March 9 for Casino Night, an annual event benefiting St. Jude Children鈥檚 Research Hospital.
