Office of Research and Innovation
The Office of Research and Innovation advances the pursuit of knowledge and discovery that is at the core of the mission of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ï㽶ֱ²¥). Our divisions provide high-quality service to investigators as they foster new research initiatives, promote the prevention of disease and the treatment of illness, motivate and educate future leaders in health sciences and advocate for the value of research in the educational setting. Research Integrity Office (RIO)
RIO empowers the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ research community to act with the highest ethical standards and to maintain a culture of ethics compliance and integrity in all that we do.
Laboratory Animal Resources Center (LARC)
LARC oversees and supports the procurement, housing, health, and welfare of research animals at Ï㽶ֱ²¥ facilities in Lubbock, Amarillo and Abilene.
Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP)
OSP assists and supports faculty and staff in identifying and obtaining funding opportunities through grants and contracts as well as promotes the successful management of awarded projects.
Research Innovation, Collaboration, Entrepreneurship (RICE)
RICE empowers and fosters a collaborative, innovative and dynamic research environment to cultivate advanced scholarship and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education has designated Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as a Special Focus Four-Year Research Institution (Very High Research Activity University).
