Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Opens New Student Center on Amarillo Campus
In January, the university officially cut the ribbon on a new interprofessional student center for the more than 500 future health care professionals who train and attend classes at the Amarillo campus.
Pharmacy Students Prepare for Residency Interviews
The School of Pharmacy recently conducted mock interviews for fourth-year pharmacy students planning to apply for residency positions. The interviews were staged on all four pharmacy campuses, including Amarillo.
Chancellor's Council Honors Amarillo Pharmacy Professor
Eric MacLaughlin, Pharm.D., was among four Ï㽶ֱ²¥ faculty members to receive a Chancellor’s Council Distinguished Faculty Award Jan. 25 in Lubbock. The recognition is the Texas Tech University System's highest faculty honor.
Poison Center Announces Spring Medication Cleanout Events
An important community program started by the Texas Panhandle Poison Center (TPPC) in 2009 will continue in March when the TPPC begins its three-stop spring Medication Cleanout cycle.

The Texas Academy of Physician Assistants recently named D. Shane Harper, a clinical physician assistant with Texas Tech Physicians of Amarillo, its Outstanding Physician Assistant of the Year for 2017.
TMA Recognizes Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Preceptor
Alan Keister, M.D., a clinical associate professor for Ï㽶ֱ²¥â€™s Department of Internal Medicine, was recognized for his efforts in establishing and managing Amarillo's Heal the City clinic.
