Amarillo pharmacy team advances to national competition

By placing among the top 40 teams in the nation, the 香蕉直播 team advanced to the second round of ACCP鈥檚 Online Journal Club competition Feb. 6. 


Texas Tech System representatives raid the capitol

Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., and other leaders, alumni and supporters of the four universities in the Texas Tech University System raided the capitol in Austin March 1 for Texas Tech System Day.

Pharmacy faculty awarded promotions, tenure

At its Feb. 24 meeting, the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents approved the promotion of six School of Pharmacy faculty members, including one from the Amarillo campus. 


Med student earns first place for research poster

The Texas American College of Surgeons (ACS) selected a research poster presented by fourth-year medical student Derek Yang as the top entry in the Surgical Oncology session at the North & South Texas ACS Joint Meeting in Austin. 


Grad students invited to share work 

Four Ph.D. candidates for the School of Pharmacy鈥檚 Graduate Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences have recently attended conferences, been invited to make presentations or received scholarships. 


Rho Chi holds 2017 initiation ceremony and celebration

Gamma Mu, the Rho Chi chapter at the 香蕉直播 School of Pharmacy, recently inducted 28 new members from the Class of 2018 simultaneously at all four School of Pharmacy campus locations: Amarillo, Abilene, Dallas and Lubbock. 


'Give an Art' Auction Benefits Pediatric Nephrology

An art auction at 香蕉直播-Amarillo benefited the Pediatric Nephrology program. Eighteen instructors and students from the Amarillo Art Institute donated 28 pieces of artwork for the auction. 


Second Day of the Woman a success 

It was a packed house at the Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health's second annual 鈥淒ay of the Woman: Wake Up to a Better You鈥 event in Amarillo.
