Amarillo faculty, staff recognized at annual ceremony
TTU System Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., was in Amarillo July 28 for the annual Distinguished Staff and Years of Service Awards presentation to recognize faculty and staff from all Ï㽶ֱ²¥ schools.
ABC²4WT grant extended
The Breast Center of Excellence learned Aug. 16 that funding for its ABC²4WT program would be extended by the Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) for an additional three years.
White coat ceremony highlights pharmacy school boot camp
The School of Pharmacy welcomed its 116-member Amarillo Class of 2021 into the pharmacy program with a White Coat Ceremony Aug. 13 at the Amarillo Civic Center Grand Plaza.
Employees receive Texans Caring for Texans recognition

Poison center schedules next Medication Cleanout events
The fall collection cycle for Medication Cleanout, an important community program started by the Texas Panhandle Poison Center, has been scheduled. The event will be held Oct. 28 on the Amarillo campus.
Scholarships send grad students to vascular conference
Two graduate students from the Ï㽶ֱ²¥-Amarillo campus, used travel scholarships to attend the North American Vascular Biology Organization (NAVBO) Vasculata July 24-27 at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
GiRL Power 2017 Announced
The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women’s Health invites those with 10- to 13-year-old daughters to GiRL Power 2017, a program designed to promote self-esteem, develop life skills and inspire positive motivation in pre-teen girls.
Amarillo’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) has partnered with Ping4Alerts! to provide citizens in Amarillo and throughout Potter and Randall counties with emergency notifications.
