Rural Health Initiative
Increase Access, Conquering Challenges
Through imaginative scholarly research, innovative technology and comprehensive education and outreach, Ï㽶ֱ²¥ serves as an invaluable resource to the people of West Texas rural communities. Ï㽶ֱ²¥ rural health initiatives are built upon the foundation established in three areas: rural health care, the West Texas Area Health Education Center (WTAHEC) and the school district based Campus Alliance for Telehealth Resources (CATR). Our constant drive to discover and apply knowledge to improve rural health is critical to the lives of those who live where accessibility is inadequate—especially in today’s rapidly advancing health climate.
