How does the SONshine Food Pantry work?

The SONshine Food Pantry is a virtual food pantry. We do not currently have a physical location to store food items on the Abilene campus, so we have a fund established that enables us to provide food and personal care items for students. Students just need to fill out the order form online and submit it. The student will be contacted once we receive the order form, with information on when and where the order can be picked up. We will process and fill your order as soon as possible. Most orders filled within 24 hours, with the exception of requests placed on weekends and/or holidays.

Are there hours of operation?

No.  Since this is a virtual food pantry, the request form is available 24/7 online.  We fill the orders as quickly as possible, with most being completed within 24 hours.  Weekends and holidays are the exception.
