Providing Lifelong Learning Opportunities

New knowledge prepares health care providers to implement system and practice enhancements in the delivery of health care. At Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯) our CME goal is to present cutting-edge education across the spectrum of health care professionals. Continued education improves patient care by providing physicians and other health care professionals with evidence-based training on advances in medicine, new medical technology and biomedical research.

Continuing Medical Education

The Office of Continuing Medical Education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center serves the CME needs of our faculty and community physicians. We provide certification of AMA PRA Category 1TM credit for Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ departmental grand rounds and special events, conferences, and enduring materials. We offer a total management service for the logistical support of conference events.

Our team of faculty and staff across the system is first rate, and I am honored to work with them as we move forward toward our impactful initiatives and continue to educate leaders and difference-makers while providing life-changing, innovative health care. I look forward to what we can accomplish together.

Collaborative Learning, Interprofessional Education

At Ογ½ΆΦ±²₯ one of our objectives is for students to collaborate in health care teams that include health professionals from other disciplines, known as Interprofessional education (IPE). IPE is a progressive concept in health care education. Students from different fields work jointly in a collaborative learning environment to improve patient health outcomes. Creating more opportunities for our students to interact with each other is key to our academic culture. MORE
