Amanda has been with Ï㽶ֱ²¥ for over 20 years, with 17 of those years in the Registrar’s Office working with students in the areas of Admissions and Enrollment Management. She graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and is working to obtain her Masters in Higher Education at Texas Tech University. She is involved with National, Regional, and Texas Registrar professional associations and serves on various committees at the HSC aimed at improving services and processes. Amanda’s passion is serving students and helping them achieve their life long dreams of becoming health care professionals. Amanda is married and has three children. Her hobbies include watching her children compete in various competitive sports and hanging out with friends and family.

Jayme Darnell

Jayme Darnell started her journey with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in 2014 and now serves as the Associate Registrar in the Registrar’s office. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University. Jayme is dedicated to supporting students and staff, managing student records, and ensuring smooth academic operations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, binge-watching her favorite TV shows, savoring Diet Cokes, and delivering expert sideline coaching during her daughter's games.

John Griffin

John Griffin serves as the Assistant Registrar at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, bringing with him a wealth of experience since joining in December 2018. Born in Lubbock, John pursued his education at Texas Tech University before embarking on a military career with the Army. He served as a 68W Combat Medical Specialist in Iraq from 2008 to 2009, demonstrating his dedication to service and resilience under pressure. Upon returning home, John earned his Bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University, marking a significant achievement in his academic journey. In his current role as Assistant Registrar, John plays a vital role in facilitating registration, managing graduation processes, and overseeing residencies for students across the School of Pharmacy, School of Population and Public Health, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Outside of his professional commitments, John finds fulfillment in family life as a devoted husband and father of three children. He has a passion for music and movies, enjoying these hobbies as ways to unwind and enrich his leisure time.

Fabian Vasquez Jr

Fabian Vasquez Jr. has been employed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center since 2001.  After 23 years in the Financial Aid Office, Fabian began working in the Registrar’s Office in 2024 as Assistant Registrar for Enrollment Reporting.  Fabian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Texas Tech University.  In his free time, Fabian enjoys spending time with his wife, family, friends and daily walks with his two dogs. 

Alexandra Garritson

Alexandra Garritson serves as the point of contact for the School of Nursing and School of Health Professions in the Registrar’s Office. Originally from Colorado, she has been with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center since July 2023. She loves spending her free time staying active with yoga, listening to live music, and cooking fun meals with her fiancé.

Shari Hanna

Shari Hanna has been employed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center since 2023. Shari has a Bachelor of General Studies from West Texas A&M University.  She works with the School of Medicine and helps with education verifications, registration, name changes and many other responsibilities.  Outside of work, Shari enjoys spending time with her husband, son and two cats.  She also likes traveling, music and dancing.  Shari is passionate about helping the School of Medicine faculty and students by supporting them with their requests in a timely manner.

Michael Thomas-Fuller has been employed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center since 2014. Michael has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University. He oversees the Texas Core Curriculum and Transfer Area for the Office of the Registrar.
