I was commissioned an Air Force 1Lt in 1992 and assigned to March AFB Calif. I was working as a Physical Therapist at bases in California, Altus Oklahoma, Ramstein Germany, and Peterson AFB Colorado. In 2002 I was assigned as a faculty member at the US Air Force Academy. From 2004 to 2007 I was a full time student at Virginia Commonwealth University working on a PhD with an emphasis in anatomy. Upon completing of that program, I returned to USAFA as the deputy head of the Biology department until my retirement in 2013.

After my retirement, I took a faculty position with Mary Baldwin University teaching basic science courses to OT, PT and PA professional students at the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences.
In 2019, I started working at 香蕉直播 in the Dept of Medical Education teaching basic sciences to the medical students.

Richard G. Greenhill, DHA, CPHQ, HACP-CMS, PMP, FACHE is an internationally recognized healthcare quality leader and Director of the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management Program in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He is Director of the Industry Advancement Technology (iAT) Accelerator at the Texas Tech University Innovation Hub at Research Park. 

Dr. Greenhill's career spans more than 30 years across sectors - including honorable retirement from the U.S. Navy Medical Department. In 2023, he was elected to life-long membership in the prestigious International Academy for Quality and Safety (IAQS), highlighting his expertise and impact in healthcare quality and patient safety. He serves as Faculty in the American College of Healthcare Executives, board certified in healthcare management and an ACHE Fellow. 

Dr. Greenhill was named to the roster of Experts with the International Society for Quality in Healthcare - Dublin, Ireland and serves an an Expert with the World Health Organization, Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office located in Cairo Egypt.

From and currently reside in Lubbock, TX with my family. In spare time I enjoy time with family, volunteering at and attending military events, playing pickle ball and golf, and coaching my kid's teams. Texas Tech University (TTU) graduate/alum. Served in U.S. Marine Corp with 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and 2nd Battalion 4th Marines in OIF and OEF conflicts.

John Griffin was born and raised in Lubbock. He shares his home with his wife and three amazing children. He has worked in the 香蕉直播 Office of the Registrar since December 2018. He served in the Texas Army National Guard from 2007-2013 as a 68W Health Care Specialist. John was deployed with the 36ID, 56 IBCT, 1-124 Cav to Iraq in 08-09. He enjoys movies and music, likes pi帽a coladas, and getting caught in the rain.

Sara is the Director of the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (香蕉直播). She has been with Texas Tech 香蕉直播 since 2016, when she moved to Lubbock after serving 6 years in the U.S. Navy. She continuously seeks professional development to remain current on issues relevant to veterans and their families, especially those in higher education. Sara also works to support veterans and their families through collaborations within the university and in the communities, as well as the TTU Military and Veterans Alumni Network. She loves to spend time with family, especially her little boy, Asher.

Adam is Assistant Vice President of the Office of People and Values and has been at 香蕉直播 since 2022. He commissioned into the United States Air Force in 2006 as a Personnel Officer. His assignments first took him to Beale AFB California, receiving the opportunity to serve as a section commander before a short tour to Dover AFB Delaware working at the Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations Center. Adam then received the opportunity to teach AFROTC at Kansas State University as the Operations and Recruiting Flight Commander. Before his discharge in 2014, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan. 
His free time is spent largely with his wife and four children. Any remaining time is typically spent reading, hiking, or bike riding.

Chris is currently the Director of Clinical Operations in the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences with the 香蕉直播 School of Medicine. He entered the U.S. Army in 2003 where he served as a 19K (Tanker) in 2nd BN 8th Cav 1st Cavalry Division stationed in Fort Hood, TX for 5 years before serving in an MLRS unit in San Angelo for one year in the Texas National Guard. Chris took part in OIF 2 in Baghdad for 12 months and then in OIF 6-8 at Camp  Taji, North of Baghdad for 16 months. In 2008-09 Chris left the Army and began his academic career which would span 10 years; taking him from Midland, TX to Snyder, TX and ultimately here in Lubbock. His interests are Public Health, Public Policy, and helping veterans stay focused on their academic and career goals.

Kristin Sullivan

Kristin Sullivan, a native of Greenville, SC, has dedicated nine and a half years of active service and is currently an E-6/YN reservist at NRC Fort Worth. She has earned a bachelor's degree from Texas Women's University alongside her military commitment. She is enrolled in a dual degree program; working towards her Doctor of Pharmacy at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and Master of Business Administration with Texas Tech University. Kristin is a member of various organizations, including Kappa Psi, Double T, and SNPhA. 

Kristin enjoys yoga, arts and crafts, and profoundly loves all types of music. She has been selected as an alternate for the Nava Health Professional Scholarship with aspirations to be commissioned as a Naval Pharmacist. Kristin's passion for mentorship stems from her desire to create a supportive environment for veterans. She aims to share her knowledge and empathize with the challenges faced by those embarking on new endeavors.

Roxanne Agnew

Program: Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling 

Roxanne Agnew is in the Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program. Her goals for entering the program are to work with service members who are actively transitioning out of service, or veterans via the Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment program within the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Roxanne served in the U.S. Army active component from 2005-2012. She is a combat-veteran who deployed for 13 months to Iraq in 2006. In 2009, she split her second deployment between Iraq and Afghanistan. Roxanne previously worked at the Transition and Retirement Office at Fort Sam Houston and has been employed with the Social Security Administration since 2015. She is currently a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA), and the current secretary for Military/Government Counseling Association (MGCA). 

Roxanne's motivation for volunteering as a VRC Student Mentor is to understand the various experiences of her fellow veterans and to assist them in their post-military service journey on the road to excellence.

 Christina served as an active duty Army Medic from 2012-2015. She graduated from the 香蕉直播 VBSN program in 2018 and the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program in 2022, and hopes to work with veterans. She recently moved from San Antonio and works as an ICU nurse in Lubbock. Additionally, Christina lives on and operates a dairy goat farm with her spouse, located 30 minutes from Lubbock.

Cshala Davis is from Texas. She served as an active duty Army Petroleum Specialist (77F) from 1994-1999 then an Army Reservist from 1999-2005. Cshala left the reserves and school when her husband was stationed overseas.

After her husband retired from the United States Army in 2015, Cshala returned to school and received a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Behavior Health and graduated from the Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health here at 香蕉直播 in Summer 2022. Cshala hopes to work with PTSD veterans at her local VA clinic. Cshala is a member of the SALUTE Veteran鈥檚 Honor Society and a student advisory on the MSMH Advisory Board.

Jennie Deignan is from Eunice, New Mexico and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. She served as a Combat Engineer Officer from 2014-2018, fulfilling duties as a Platoon Commander in Japan, Detachment Commander in Australia, and Series Commander at MCRD Parris Island. She received a B.S. in Applied Physiology from SMU in 2013 and is an alumni of the Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the School of Health Professions. 

She lives with her husband, also a Marine, and their dog, Fillie. For fun, she coaches and participates in CrossFit, reads, plays video games, and is a beginner gardener and woodworker. She understands the transition from active duty can be challenging and looks to be part of the support system for her peers returning to and serving in the civilian sector.

Juan Medina is a critical care nurse and a 2021 honor graduate of the VBSN program. From 2010-2019, he served in various active duty capacities, including combat medic, medical recruiters, and rotary pilot. Juan was embedded within multiple units such as field artillery, light reconnaissance, and Stryker infantry. In addition, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XIII-XIV.

A year after nursing school, Juan continued his education by attaining an MBA. His professional goals are to become a CRNA and business owner. Juan is open to providing education transition support and advice for academic success. He looks forward to extending his selfless service as a student veteran mentor.

 Kaitlin Miller served as an active duty Army Medic from 2011-2015 with one tour in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and is still currently a medic in the Army Reserves. She is a December 2020 graduate of the 香蕉直播 Veteran to BSN (VBSN) program and is currently enrolled in the 香蕉直播 MSN Education program with hopes to teach critical care upon graduation. Kaitlin is a member of the SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society. She currently lives in Fort Worth with her husband and three boys.

Sean Mishra

Program: MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling 

Sean Mishra is a Texas native and served in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 2015, retiring as an E-9/ SGM, serving in various Infantry and Special Forces commands, and multiple deployments overseas, and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After serving in the Army and retiring, Sean has been helping with peer support and mentoring with the Wounded Warrior Project where he currently lives in Oregon. Since 2022, he has been working as a Child and Family therapist with adolescents and their families who are in residential care with Trillium family services in Corvallis, Oregon. 

After watching many veterans struggle with transitioning out of the military, he wanted to continue to help others which is why he choose to go back to school to 香蕉直播 to get his degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Sean is a member of the 香蕉直播 student advisory board, TT Alumni Association, SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society. Sean continues to look for opportunities to help veteran students out whenever possible.

Dr. Rachel Washburn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life and Physical Sciences at Ivy Tech College in Sellersburg, Indiana. She earned her undergraduate degree in Russian at Texas Tech, after which she served as an intelligence officer in Air Force Special Operations Command. After separating from active duty, she switched her career focus to extending life. She earned her doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, concentrating in Immunology and Infectious Diseases at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. She has extensively researched the immune system, complement, biofilms, male reproduction, transplantation, and autoimmune diseases. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, hiking, camping, kayaking, attending rock concerts, riding her motorcycle, and celebrating all the holidays with her family and friends.

Marion Turner

Marion Turner is a United States Air Force veteran who served from 2012-2018 as a Public Health Technician. Marion has both her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Criminal Justice (2017 & 2020), and completed her Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2023.

She is now a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate who sees and works with adolescents, young adults, and individuals who are in ABA therapy. In Marion's spare time, she loves to spend time with her daughter, watching her grow.

Violette Zeimet

Violette served as an active-duty nondestructive inspection craftsman for seven years. She deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. After leaving the Air Force, she decided to go after her dream of nursing and got her Vocational Nursing License in Idaho. After receiving her LVN license, Violette worked for the VA and the military before moving to Texas. Violette's husband is still currently serving as an enlisted active-duty member at Dyess AFB. Once moving to Lubbock, Violette decided to continue her education and applied to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, RN BSN program. Violette graduated from that program in August 2024. Violette hopes to continue her work with the military/veteran population.
