Amarillo Campus | Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

Ï㽶ֱ²¥

Welcome to the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ School of Health Professions Amarillo Campus! Located 120 miles north of Lubbock, the Amarillo metropolitan area has over 200,000 people who live and work in Potter and Randall counties.

Established in 1994, our Amarillo Campus is located in the Harrington Regional Medical Center complex and is a proud home to the School of Health Professions Physical Therapy program. In addition to our Physical Therapy students on Lubbock and Odessa campuses, our students located in Amarillo stay connected in lecture classes that are conducted in a teleconferenced format with courses originating at any of our three campuses. Clinical rehabilitation instructional labs are conducted onsite by Amarillo faculty in a facility with over 10,000 square feet for use by the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences. We also maintain excellent working relationships and clinical affiliations with local healthcare agencies including the Northwest Texas Healthcare System, Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System, Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Turn Center, as well as many OP physical therapy clinics in the area.

The Amarillo Ï㽶ֱ²¥ School of Health Professions is located in a 155,000 square foot facility that houses academic and clinical programs for not only the Physical Therapy program but also the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ School of Medicine. Our building is adjacent to the Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy, creating a true campus environment that encourages student interaction.

In addition, the Amarillo campus houses programs in Nursing, Pharmacy, and Pharmaceutical Sciences and is homestead for the Texas Tech University School of Veterinary Medicine and Women’s Health Research Institute.

The perfect mix of old and new Texas traditions Amarillo offers an abundance of recreational possibilities and cultural events. Many students attend concerts and shows by the Amarillo Opera, Amarillo Symphony, Starlight Ranch, Amarillo Little Theatre and cheer on the Amarillo Sod Poodles at baseball games. With Palo Duro Canyon 20 minutes away and Lake Meredith one hour away, there are endless opportunities for horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, and fishing. Make it a weekend trip and enjoy skiing in the mountain of New Mexico and Colorado less than six hours away!

We hope you will join us! Contact our campus or the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs for more information about our programs and the Amarillo regional campus.
