Our Speech-Language Pathology Program
Is speech-language pathology for you? The profession needs individuals with emotional stability, intellectual curiosity, interest in people and the ability to approach problems with a scientific attitude. We also want people with sensitivity and personal warmth. If this describes you, I encourage you to apply for the Ï㽶ֱ²¥ graduate program in speech-language pathology. Our graduate program is held in high esteem, and is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Over the course of the two-year program, students will gain experience in the university clinic and at least two other settings. In addition to the opportunities afforded by the Lubbock community, many students participate in externships in other Texas cities and across the country. The academic curriculum is rigorous and comprehensive, so students are well-prepared. (Typically, 90-100% of the second-year graduate students have passed the Praxis Exam in Speech-Language Pathology before graduation.)
I hope you will consider joining us. If you have any questions about our program, please e-mail me at sherry.sancibrian@ttuhsc.edu.
