The Nephrology fellowship program at Texas Tech University’s Lubbock campus really is unique. The best part of training here was autonomy. As I became more comfortable with handling complex renal cases, I was able to care for patients in a manner that felt most like supervised practice. Yet I knew I had supportive and knowledgeable faculty with years of experience within arm’s reach. The support staff at Ï㽶ֱ²¥, UMC, and the dialysis center really are top notch, they are eager to work with you as well as educate you. Call schedule is very manageable. I saw a wide range of pathology because it’s a large teaching institution as well as a tertiary care referral center. I really do consider this a wonderful place to train as well as live.
