WHY Ï㽶ֱ²¥ SCHOOL OF PHARMACY?

There’s a reason we’re one of the top rated pharmacy schools in the country.

Unrivaled Clinical Training
Students at Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy complete more clinical training than students in most all other pharmacy programs in the country. Required rotations are taught mostly by expert clinical faculty who are integrally linked to our program. The quality and proportion of clinical training prepares students to excel relative to others in the field. 100% of the graduating students in the Class of 2020 agreed that their advanced pharmacy practice experiences were of high quality.
Unwavering Focus on Excellence
Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy is ranked in the top 25% of PharmD programs in the country based on student attainment on major pharmacy assessments and on training. We lead the state in the percentage of graduates who become board-certified specialists. Our graduates compete extremely well in the pharmacy job market where competence and skill carry the day. 98% of the Class of 2020 received a pharmacy job placement within one year of graduation.
Build Your Dreams
Two crucial strengths of our program are the high quality of our faculty and the low student/faculty ratio. Our faculty pioneered top training in several critical fields like ambulatory care, critical care and geriatrics. More than 25% of our students complete joint degree programs like MBA, MS in Public Health or do honors research to further establish their credentials. 90% of the Class of 2021 agreed that they would choose Ï㽶ֱ²¥ Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy if they had to complete their training again.

One Program, Endless Opportunities

Our multiple campus and pathway options allow students to choose the learning environment best suited to their needs, and give them the opportunity to learn and interact with experts, faculty and students from all four campuses and beyond.

The traditional pathways allow students to attend classes on any one, or a combination of, our four campuses in Abilene, Amarillo, Dallas and Lubbock for a full-time, traditional campus experience.

The Pioneer Pathway combines distance learning technology for the didactic portion of the curriculum with in-person immersion experiences for the hands-on, clinical portion of the curriculum to create a balanced hybrid learning model. Accreditation of the Doctor of Pharmacy program is affirmed for all pathways through June 30, 2028.
