Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing has 22 different programs for wherever you are on your path to a fulfilling career in health care. With these bachelors, masters, and doctoral programs, we seek to correct the critical nursing shortage both in our communities and across the nation. With centers all across west Texas, our multiple campuses give each nursing student a high-quality education with experienced faculty. Additionally, we're expanding every day—creating new, innovative routes for students to complete their education with options for online plans and accelerated learning.

- Traditional BSN
This traditional bachelors program is for students without nursing credentials. These students will receive a current, highly advanced nursing education, developing skills and putting talents to use in both classroom and hands-on settings. Our traditional BSN does not have R.N. prerequisites—the perfect choice for those just starting their journey to a nursing career. - R.N. to BSN
The RN to BSN nursing program will build upon already established health care experience and supply students with opportunities to advance their careers in the nursing field.
Accelerated BSN
- Second Degree BSN
Looking to become a nurse, but already have a bachelor's degree in another field? The second degree BSN is one of our accelerated nursing degrees with online course availability, allowing students to achieve their degree in twelve months. - Veteran to BSN
Open to veterans from all branches of service, this accelerated nursing degree program is specially designed for veterans to acquire advanced placement in our nursing curriculums all across seven of our Texas nursing school locations.
Leadership Studies
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Administration
With this master's degree, students will develop the valuable management and leadership skills necessary to face challenges in today’s health care environment. These tools will prepare students for management-based careers in a wide array of settings. - MSN-MBA Dual Degree Program
In partnership with the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Nursing, students can earn an MSN and an MBA with a concentration in Health Organization Management (HOM). This program provides nursing students with the management and business skills to address the future leadership needs of an evolving healthcare environment - MSN Education
This program is designed to help you implement and develop curriculums and strengthen learning processes for current and future nurses. The master's degree provides opportunities for educational positions in both academic and practice environments. - MSN Nursing Informatics
Mostly online with occasional field experience, this degree provides opportunities to engage with interprofessional teams to address patient safety and quality by utilizing technology.
APRN Studies
- MSN Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Track
The AC-PNP program is specially designed to meet the psychological needs of children with acute, complex acute, critical and chronic health conditions. Students will learn highly advanced practice strategies for both professional management and compassionate care. - MSN Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
An all-encompassing program, this degree will supply students with tools to provide culturally sensitive, comprehensive care to adults who are chronically, acutely or critically ill—empowering them to promote, maintain and restore health. - MSN Family Nurse Practitioner
Primarily an online track with occasional travel to Lubbock, this masters program helps develop a professional career assuming a primary care provider role in rural agencies and in other health care settings. - MSN Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
This nursing program is for those who are dedicated to improving the health of children by providing unparalleled care to children from birth to young adulthood through the management of common acute illnesses and chronic conditions. - MSN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
This track is for those dedicated to the diagnosis and management of mental health patients of all ages. Upon completion of this program, students will have the opportunity to assume a role as a psychiatric mental health care provider in their community as well as in acute care and telemental health settings. - MSN Nurse Midwifery
With a population-based focus, our Midwifery nursing program prepares nurse-midwives to implement superior primary care to women across the childbearing cycle and beyond.

Designed as a pathway for those with a BSN who desire a professional career in psychiatrics, this Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track will give students the opportunity to assume a role as a psychiatric mental health care provider in their community as well as in acute care and telemental health settings.
